Our mushroom grow kits are made to order in small batches right here in Winnipeg. Each block weighs approximately 5 lbs, and depending on the species or strain of mushroom being grown, has the capacity to produce several crops that will yield 1.5 to 2.5 pounds of mushrooms over the course of 1-2 months.
Grow kits are an excellent introduction into mushroom cultivation for those that never tried it out before, and it is certainly the easiest ways to get your hands on some home grow mushrooms, since no additional assembly is required on your part. Our grow kits are produced using premium hardwood sawdust, water and nutritional supplements that vary depending on the mushroom species being grown.
These include locally sourced wheat bran, soybean hulls, and gypsum. Mushroom grow kits can be grown indoors regardless of the season, or placed outdoors when the conditions are favourable. Plenty of fresh air circulation and high humidity (80-95%) are required for your mushrooms to flourish.
