Description: This is one of our favourite perennial herbs for zone 3. Anise Hyssop has deliciously fragrant foliage, grows well in part shade and bears masses of bee-attracting purple blooms in mid to late summer. The fresh or dried leaves make tasty tea, with a minty-licorice flavour (sounds weird, tastes great!). Â
So seeds indoors anytime from March through late April to establish transplants for the summer garden. Once planted outdoors Anise Hyssop is reliable through prairie winters.Â
