Live Plant – Sweet Woodruff
Description: A wonderful woodland groundcover, forming a thick carpet of shiny, dark-green leaves. White flowers appear in early spring. Although not fragrant when fresh, the dried leaves have a fantastic earthy aroma, similar to Sweet Grass, and make an appealing natural air freshener. An essential flavouring in Belgian ‘May Wine’ – although precise steps must be followed in the preparation, as Sweet Woodruff is not normally edible!
